Welcome to the home page for the International Shotokan Karate Federation
(ISKF) Mountain States Region. Our
chief instructor is Master Yutaka Yaguchi, 8th Dan, located in Denver, Colorado. Sensei
Yaguchi has been training in karate for over 50 years.
Shotokan karate emphasizes a balanced, practical, self-defense oriented
approach to the practice of basic techniques, kata (forms), and
controlled sparring during training. We enjoy training, helping each other
grow in karate knowledge and experience, and seeing our organization make a
positive impact on people's lives and on society.
Karate students benefit both physically and mentally.

We follow the traditional Japan Karate Association
(JKA) Shotokan
karate style. The JKA is an officially chartered organization
under the regulation and administration of the Japan Ministry of Education.
